We, at Berkeley Building Co., couldn’t have been more excited when contacted by Make-A-Wish to see if we would be interested in building a Playhouse for one of their Wish Kids who suffers from Cardiomyopathy. Without thought, we accepted the challenge and got to meet up with Jacob, a vivacious 6 year old who had a very definite idea what he was looking for. His wish list: A Phineas & Ferb playhouse with an HVAC System, refrigerator, microwave, tv, dvd player, popcorn maker, an area for crafts, a place to sleep with his friends and siblings…and last but not least…a slide out the side. Our heads were spinning and we went to work with the help of our awesome team of generous subcontractors and suppliers. The result was a very happy 6 year old boy and this playhouse any kid would be excited to call their own.
